The Photo27 Photo & Cinema studio was founded in Milan in 2006 by two photographers named Diego and Estella
They decided to give a new slant to wedding photography by later adding a video line that travels hand in hand with the photographic discourse according to a philosophy of mainly stolen shots and unposed wedding photos.
After starting out with an important role in Destination Wedding, Diego, meanwhile left alone to lead the dances at Photo27, thinks it is time to bring that style of spontaneous and unposed photos to the world of Italian couples, making spontaneous and natural wedding photography his credo.
AS IMMANUEL KANT SAYS, NOT EVERYTHING YOU LIKE HAS TO BE DEFINED BEAUTIFUL.
Soon, Diego's overflowing personality combined with his talent and that of his team of photographers and video operators led him to realise wedding photo shoots for important names such as Belen and Stefano, Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, Michela Quattrociocche, Daniele de Rossi, and many others who found in him not only quality and unhoped-for empathy, but also a safe in which to store their images with the certainty that they would never be divulged. The studio currently has around 15 members including photographers, video operators, social media and video editors, guaranteeing a first-rate service in terms of quality and speed, always winking at an internationality that has already been expressed in weddings produced in the main European capitals as well as an ongoing relationship with weddings in Japan that will soon take Diego back to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Lately, Diego has been concentrating mainly on unposed wedding photo shoots in Milan (his birthplace), Turin, Bergamo and Brescia, leaving the door open to other locations where he has always worked, realising important wedding photo and video shoots in the pure 'wedding reportage' style, such as Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, Lake Orta, Lake Iseo, Veneto, Rome, Sardinia and the Riviera.
Once an influential voice in the wedding photography sphere told me: Diego Taroni, you are able to extract from a vague environment what touches you the most and turn it into a picture. I was unaware of that. But since then I started extracting more and more using my Canon and teaching my photo27 team to do the same, when making videos as well, because filmmaking as photography unveils a glimpse of reality.
Diego Taroni has always thought that realising suggestive and unique shootings and wedding videos is not enough. He desires not only to leave trace of his work in the houses of the whole world with never fading photographies and cinema-like wedding trailers. He aims at teaching his viewpoint, his compositions and layouts, so that someone else would leave trace in other houses.
This is Photo27 team’s goal, reproducing the reality through Diego Taroni’s eyes. People who are part of that are chosen for their talent and sensitivity, fundamental qualities to take perfect pictures and record your best moments.
But it is not enough yet. Diego deems beauty cannot be seen without being excellent human beings, with great heart and soul innocence. Diego Taroni’s greatest pride is seeing professionals, such as wedding photographers and video makers, growing every day and perceiving the joy in their eyes for having realised something special, of course in Photo27 style.
I, WHO AFTER 150 WRONG PHOTOS WONDER: WHERE ARE YOU DIEGO, WHY DIDN'T YOU ALSO COME ON OUR HONEYMOON? Valeria
